UNIQUE DESIGNS: We feature the design work of jewelry artist Anne Turrell-Nevada. Anne's work has been displayed at the Kentucky Horse Park, during the International ROLEX CCI 3-Day Event, and with a nationally known Tack Store.

Throughout the design process, Anne believes that "...a special piece of jewelry should lift the spirit and make the wearer smile, as on a sunlit Summer morning, or while remembering a very special horse."

Anne handcrafts and hand finishes many of her own Pure Silver pieces, grouped under "Silver Silhouettes" (TM). Pure Silver, also known as Fine Silver, is 99.9% pure, a higher quality than Sterling, and less likely to tarnish.

Anne's Pure Silver pieces are substantial, with the warm glow of heirloom treasures, but a contemporary twist.

She also incorporates quality Sterling and Gold pieces by other U.S. craftspeople; including 3rd generation Virginia Silversmiths, and the exquisite work of several South West fittings designers.

Anne's Pure Silver Silhouette jewelry offers the high quality of old heirloom silver, but uses raw material which is completely " Green" and "Enviromentally Friendly" !

Anne "sculpts" and molds each piece from a soft Japanese material containing Pure Silver RECLAIMED from the by-products of technology. A patented Japanese process RECONSTITUTES microscopic PURE SILVER particles from obsolete medical and photographic equipment, and embeds thousands of the particles in a soft, non toxic material, much like clay. The particles are of the highest possible grade of silver, without the copper and other base metals added to "Sterling". The impressionable material offers the jewelry artist great flexibility to mold, cast, carve or sculpt unique, highly detailed pieces.

When fired in a kiln to just under 1700 degrees Fahrenheit, the soft material is incinerated, while the silver particles fuse together, leaving behind a solid, 99.9% pure silver work of art. The resulting silver jewelry is of the highest quality and purity available, AND is ecologically sustainable. Not quite Alchemy, but darn close !

Each item is handcrafted and hand finished in our studio, with the slight variations unique to handmade jewelry.

The back of each Pure Silver piece is authenicated and hallmark stamped ".999 Fine Silver" , with the Heritage Hill logo.
